There are lots of sites comparing hosting companies with star ratings or number ratings or whatever else. Most of those sites generally are pushing the hosting company with the best referral fees and many times they haven’t actually used that hosting company.
There are many articles on this site that make mention of multiple hosting companies but the only hosting companies that we use and personally are comfortable recommending are
Hostgator = For shared and reseller hosting

- Personally, the best savings with Host Gator shared is signing up for at least a 1 year and applying the 20% off coupon provided when making the purchase…so you make a large initial purchase to get the larger savings with the 20% off entire purchase rather than just the 1st month…then if you dont like the service later in the year or need to upgrade to higher end plan they will just refund you back the unused portion even though you get the 20% off when you 1st signed up)
Future Hosting = For Virtual Private Servers & Dedicated Servers
Understand that there are other good hosting companies out there but for the price, quality of support, and delivery of service those are the two hosting companies that we have been most satisfied with.
